Crypto price alerts tell you the moment a coin reaches a price you set — rises above or falls below your target — so you can act on your plan instead of watching charts all day. The Token Times price alert tool is free, needs no account, and runs privately in your browser.

Why use crypto price alerts

Crypto trades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the biggest moves rarely happen while you are watching. Price alerts let you decide your levels in advance — a price you would buy, a price you would take profit, a level that would change your mind — and then get on with your day. When the market reaches one, you are told; until then, you are free.

That structure also helps you act on a plan rather than on emotion. Setting a target when you are calm and being nudged when it hits is far steadier than refreshing a chart and reacting to every wiggle.

How Token Times price alerts work

Setting an alert takes a few seconds and no sign-up:

What people set alerts for

A good set of alerts mirrors your actual plan. Common ones include:

Private and free — and the trade-offs

Token Times’s alerts need no account and store nothing on our servers; your list lives only in your browser. The honest trade-offs are that alerts currently run while the tab is open (not as background phone push), and they check live data on a roughly 15-minute cadence rather than tick by tick. For planning and position decisions that is plenty; for high-frequency trading it is not the right tool.

Alerts as part of your Token Times workflow

Alerts work best alongside the rest of Token Times’s private, account-free tools: keep the coins you follow on your watchlist, track what your holdings are worth in the portfolio tracker, and open any coin’s page for the chart, technicals and the news that moves it. Everything stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do crypto price alerts work on Token Times?

Choose a coin, a direction (rises above / falls below) and a target price. While this page is open in a browser tab, Token Times checks the live market price every 45 seconds against our data (refreshed about every 15 minutes) and shows you a browser notification the moment your target is crossed. Your alerts are saved privately in your browser.

Do alerts work when the page is closed?

Not yet. These alerts run while the Token Times alerts page is open in a tab, so the simplest approach is to pin the tab. They do not yet push to your phone when the tab is closed — that needs a background service we may add later. For now, think of it as a live, hands-off price watch. (If you want a push the moment a new brief publishes, you can enable news notifications.)

How fresh are the prices behind an alert?

Alerts check against Token Times’s live market data, which refreshes roughly every 15 minutes from CoinGecko and Binance. An alert therefore fires within minutes of your target being crossed — ample for position and planning decisions, but not built for millisecond or high-frequency trading.

Is my alert list private? Do you see it?

Yes, it is private. Your alerts are stored only in your browser’s local storage and never reach Token Times’s servers, so we cannot see them. Enabling browser notifications simply lets this page show you a system notification; nothing is transmitted anywhere.

Do I need an account, and is it free?

No account, no email, no payment. Price alerts are completely free and work anonymously in your browser.

Which coins can I set alerts for?

Any coin in Token Times’s tracked market set — that covers Bitcoin, Ethereum and the top few hundred cryptocurrencies by market cap. Start typing a name or symbol and pick from the list.

How are these different from exchange alerts?

Exchange alerts usually require an account and tie into trading. Token Times’s are account-free, private and independent — useful for simply watching the market or your watchlist without logging into an exchange. They are a convenience, not a trading signal.
