Reader sentiment — frequently asked questions
What is the Token Times Reader Sentiment Index?
It is a live, first-party gauge of how Token Times readers feel about crypto. Readers cast one-tap bullish or bearish votes on each news brief, and we aggregate those votes into an overall bullish percentage and a per-story breakdown.
How is the sentiment calculated?
We count the bullish and bearish votes on each story and compute the bullish share. The overall gauge is the total bullish votes as a percentage of all votes across every story that has votes. It is computed purely from reader votes on tokentimes.in — no third-party or paid data.
Is reader sentiment a price prediction?
No. It measures reader opinion only — not market positioning, not a forecast, and not financial advice. Crowd mood can be wrong, and crypto is volatile and high-risk.
How do I vote?
Open any news brief and tap bullish or bearish. You can cast one vote per device per story, and the gauge updates live.
Can I use this sentiment data?
Yes. The raw, anonymised tallies are public as JSON at /api/v1/sentiment, free to use with attribution to Token Times.
